Andrea Prenghyová - Director

Andrea Prenghyova was born in Prague on July 4, 1972. She holds a degree in journalism from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University and a degree in documentary direction at the Film Academy of Performing Arts. She has attended many foreign educational workshops and fellowship programmes focused on film and media (University of Konstanz, European Institute for Political and Economic Studies Hamburg, University of Milan). Since the early nineties she has been working as a reporter for the Reflex magazine, shooting and producing documentary films for the Czech Television (Cerny rytir /Black Knight), (Bylo dobre, bude hur/Used to Be Better Will Be Worse), (Sri Lanka - Na pul cesty do nebe…/Sri Lanka – Half Way Through on the Way to Heaven) and for the Film & Sociology Foundation (“Na ulici” /On the Street) and (V pracovnim procesu /In the Working Process). Since 1999 she has been involved in the organization of the educational section of the International Documentary Film Festival in Jihlava, and in 2001 she stood at the birth of the Documentary Film Institute, a non-profit making organization supporting documentary films in the Eastern and Central European countries. Currently is Andrea Prenghyova working on the film “Kolem domu” (Around the House) which is being made in co-production with the Czech Television and is supported by the grant awarded by the Fund for Support of the Czech Cinematography.

Ivana Miloševič - IDF Co-ordinator

Born in 1976 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and HerzegovinaShe graduated in humanities (macroeconomics and politics) at the Charles University. Prague and in documentary film direction at FAMU in Prague. Her professional experience includes: production and direction of documentary films and reportages mainly on social and political topics. Recently completed feature doc “Never Been Better” film about the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina after the war and currently finalized hour long doc “Damas de Blanco”, about unofficial dissident women movement in Cuba. In IDF since 2003.

Hana Rezková - Co-ordinator of DOCUinter.net, PR, East European Project

Was born 8th of September 1978 in Prague. Education: Film Studies on the Philosophical Faculty of the Charles University + department of Audio-visual Art - Documentary film. Residency: Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris III - Cinéma Audiovisuel; Gradisca Film School, Itlay. Work Experience: Institute of Documentary Film (2003 - recently) , the NGO PSIC (2002 – 2004), co-operation with the Center for Contemporary Art Jeleni on film projects (Prague 2002-2003), Progressiv International Kunst Organisation (Berlin 2000 – 20002), Cultural Centre Con Sables (Tarragona 1998-1999) - responsible for the film screenings, dance and physical theatre performances. NATO ARW co-ordinator (Prague 2004, 2007). Speaks fluently English, French and Russian, basic knowledge of German.

Tereza Horská - Production Manager

Was born on 10th of August, 1978 in Prague. Since 1997 flows in the world of filmdom. In 1998 started to cooperate with Czech Television on several, mostly documentary projects. TH studied Prague Film and Television School (Academy of Performing Art), specialized in movie production. During the studies, participated on creation of many student films and worked with Feature and Documentary Film Departments. TH is the person, who annually organized the FAMU Film Festivals and who was nominated as a programme director at FAMU Film Festival 2000. Since 2002 she has come into line of organizing the prestige Documentary Film Festival in Jihlava, Czech Republic, cooperates with Institute of Documentary Film. TH can speak English fluently and German partly.

Zuzana Pauková - Co-ordinator of Breathless

Born in Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia in 1980. Graduated from the Faculty of Education, University of Constantine the Philosopher in Nitra, and in film studies and multimedia from the Film and Television Faculty at VSMU Bratislava. She studied in Helsinki and Jyväskylä, Finland as part of the student exchange programme. Curated a showcase of Finnish feature and documentary films for the ArtFilm Festival in Trenčianske Teplice, Slovakia. She worked at an advertising agency prior to coming to IDF where she is responsible for the Breathless project and is involved with other activities of the Institute.

Bára Mudrová - Czech project co-ordinator

Bára Mudrová was born 8th of December 80 in Slovakia. After having studied at Independet Film College in (Czech Republic), she graduated in Organization and Management. Her professional career began in 2002 as PR Manager for the independent arthouse distribution company Film Distribution Artcam, and from 2004 as the Managing Director. Recently she works freelance for Artcam. At the Institute of Documentary Film she is responsible for the \Czech project\ and VIDEO library since 2008. Speaks fluent English and Italian, basic knowledge of German. One day, she would like to run a Marathon.
